I am a big fan of home decorating magazines, I buy two of my favorites each month eventhough we’re not doing any renovations for our home at the moment. I just like looking at beautiful homes and get ideas and inspirations on how to decorate our home. I get listings of the hip new home furnishing stores and of course the sales too. I love those houses with pond fountains, it makes the home serene and peaceful. If I had a big backyard I would get one but that’s not gonna happen.

Getting another degree

I’ve been thinking about it and I think it would be best if I get an online degree before I go back to working a full time job. It’s not gonna happen this year but I’m hoping next year I’ll have the time and funds to actually do it. Of course it had to be a degree from a reputable school such as Western Governors University. I have seen their website and I’m pleased with their lower tuition fee and the degrees they offer. Taking online lectures would be perfect for me since I’m a busy mom and having a flexible class schedule would allow me to keep up with everything else that I do and at the same time get my degree. I know I’m not the only one who thinks that online degrees are great for busy adults like me. We have other responsibilities to our families and most of the time even if we want to do something for ourselves it gets thrown in the back burner because of time constraints. Now we can get the degree we’ve always dreamed of having in our own pace and our own time. I’m a little scared, it’s been seven years since I graduated from college and getting another degree is a big step but I think this is good for me. I want to make something of myself when my kids are old enough to go to primary school, that would be the time for me get back on my career path and I want to be prepared when that happens.

I love my computer and I use daily to browse online, check email and of course scrap my scrapbook layouts. Although I love looking at laptop computers at stores I’m contented with my desktop computer now. I was using a laptop before but when it died on me I decided to switch to a desktop from then on. I had a bigger monitor a few months ago and it is so much better. I still use my laptop from time to time but I just think that a desktop PC is better for me. It even matched the dock entertainment system of my ipod and iphone.

I was browsing at a few online stores for accessories and I stumbled upon one that sells truck accessories and I can’t believe I took a second look. For one we don’t have a truck (lol) but they have such cool stuff that I found myself browsing at decals and all things trucks. Anyway I ran a few errands today and I was so glad that I was able to get to the bank before closing to deposit a cheque. I love my little girl’s preschool class schedule, it’s in the afternoon so it was perfect to pick up a few things here and there before picking her up.

I’m in love with this new kit Oh So Pretty by Traci Reed, Melissa Bennett, Eva Kipler & Krystal Hartley available at Sweet Shoppe Designs. I can’t wait to scrap with it this coming weekend. The colors are so girly and the elements are so pretty that it would be perfect for my little girl’s photos.

New career

Being in the healthcare profession seems to be popular these days. I know more freshmen students take nursing and care giving courses in hopes that after they graduate a job would be waiting for them. I did a healthcare job search and true enough there was a lot of jobs out there. This is why some of the people I know take up second degrees to get in the healthcare business, the pay is good and they get better chances of going abroad. I think wherever there’s a great opportunity and as long as the family stays together I’d be fine with that too.

I have a friend who tried herbal weight loss products and it worked for her. The results were amazing because she lots 15 pounds in a matter of weeks. She’s been struggling with her weight for years (just like me) and I’m glad that she’s now happy where’s she at. Oh how I dream of the day that I can wear my old jeans again, sometimes I wonder why I still keep them and not just buy new jeans for me. I guess I’m still hoping someday I would still lose my excess weight and fit in my old clothes. I still love to shop for clothes though, eventhough I buy a size bigger now

Icky skin

My face gets so oily these days, well I’ve always had oily skin but I find that it’s much oily nowadays. I think the culprit is my new face wash, I will definitely buy a different one and see what happens. I still feel lucky that I don’t have to worry about adult acne though, it is less expensive to just change face wash (lol). I can imagine how this would be frustrating for an adult, I mean you’re suppose to deal with acne in your teens and shake it off when you’re a grown up. Growing up I didn’t have a lot of skin problems so I guess I was one of the lucky ones, I always had oily skin though so I’m always on the look out for products to keep the oil at bay.

It’s cold out there

My dad needed his joint pain relief medication especially during winter. It does get so cold in Alaska and though the glaciers are lovely but the cold does bring a bit discomfort to older people. Oh how I love those photos of my dad in Alaska, with the beautiful glacier at his background makes me want to go to there as a child. Their ship docks there every couple of months, I’m glad he had photos to share with us. He’s been to a lot of countries and it is fun to see all the wonderful pictures of his travel. We would take a few souvenirs from each country and we have it displayed back home, it’s quite nice. I wish someday we could also travel like he did.

How cute is this element pack?! I have a thing for vintage looking postage stamps and this one is no exception. I just wish the Designer Digitals would accept paypal payments and I would have gotten this in an instant. I find it a bit of a hassle that I need a credit card to make a purchase or to email the items I want to I can get an invoice to pay through paypal. Anyway I’m sort of cutting down on spending on scrapping supplies so I’ll just put this on my wishlist for now.
