I got an Ipad Mini for Christmas (thanks to my awesome husband for surprising me with one) and I’m one happy gal. I can now have an ipad for myself that I won’t need to share with the girls. I immediately downloaded Zinio so I can have all my magazines there and then loaded all my books on Ibooks. I also added my games and I’m almost set but I want to try getting a few audio books as well. I’ve never tried getting one before but I saw some audio books online free so I can download a few free ones first and see if it is something I will like. I like reading books at night when everyone is already asleep so maybe I will like audio books too.

I’ve had this tablet for a while now and though I’ve been using it in designing kits I would say I haven’t fully utilized all the features. Friends have told me that I should use it for everything so I can really get the hang of it and create graphic images from scratch. It wouldn’t be a problem if I were right handed, but I’m not so it’s on the left side of my computer desk and I can’t use it as a mouse because my mouse in on the right side. It’s a bit frustrating having this nifty gadget but not being able to use it properly because I’m a leftie. I know I could just go on and practice but it will take a long time before I could be comfortable using it as a pen and also a mouse.

My husband got this for me, he is such a sweet guy. I told him I need a new point and shoot camera to have in my purse all the time and since he left our Lumix at his mom’s place (I hated that camera anyway so I was hoping to get a new camera anyway). He went to sign up for a Blackberry plan and came back with this baby. It’s perfect for me, I told him I didn’t want a fancy point and shoot camera because we have the dslr for special occasions anyway I just want something to take pictures and videos with when we’re out. This is still way better than iphone so I’m very pleased.

I really want to buy a new point and shoot camera. Something that can easily fit in my purse and I can have on the go. I love our dslr but it’s exactly easy to bring when hubby is not with me. I have a Lumix which by all accounts should be a good camera but somehow I can’t figure out the settings. I hate how the pictures look, even outdoor photos doesn’t turn out nice. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with it but the colors seems off to me, there’s too much orange/yellow tint that I really don’t like. Maybe there’s something wrong with me and I can’t figure out the right settings. Anyway this camera has got to go, I would just give it away when we come visit my folks in July. I’ve read Hardware Mag and they had great reviews with this Canon camera, this time I would try it at the store before I buy it. The Lumix I got from a friend so I never had a chance to test if I can handle using it before I got it. Obviously it didn’t work for me so I don’t bring it with me when I go out. I’m just using the camera on my iPhone for now until I can find a new p&s that I can actually use.
