I can’t get enough of these flowers. Oh they’re so nice and those pretty little bottles are too cute to resist. I like paper flowers better than fabric ones though, I’m more comfortable using them. I have to go to my local scrapbook store and find out if they have new products coming soon. Some items get sold out pretty quickly so I want to make sure I reserve the items I want for me. Anyway a friend of mine were chatting yesterday and we’ve talked about foreclosure and how she is worried about their home being taken from them. I wish her well and I hope she could figure something out. I’ve been to their house on several occasions and it is a lovely and cozy home.

I just finished this one today. I love the colors of this quickpage album. It was great that I have Prima flowers and Making Memories rhinestones to match, oh and buttons too. Too bad this chipboard doesn’t require ribbons, I have a bunch that will go perfectly with these colors too. I’m getting a hang of doing hybrid projects now, even with modge podge. I made a few mistakes here because I didn’t wait for the glue to completely dry but overall it turned out nice. Now I have to go figure out how to work this balance transfer thing my husband has been asking me to do.

I finished another hybrid album yesterday and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Here it is…

This is the first project I used Modge Podge both as a glue and as a sealer and I’m so glad I didn’t messed things up. I love love the finished look of the pages with Modge Podge on it. Now that I’ve finished my first hybrid project I want to do more hybrid albums so having a Xyron Cheetah would be nice. Right now I’m just using a tombow tape runner but the Xyron is highly recommended at our forums so it should be good. This would make adhering the pages to the chipboard albums much easier. Now if I can only convince my husband that I need this…

Keyplate Birthday Album

I’m so happy to finish this project! I used Christy Lyle’s Keyplate Birthday Calendar Album and some of my paper scrapping supplies for this and I’m happy with the final product. You can view more photos here. I hope to do more altered/hybrid projects like this one in the future.

This is so exciting, Sweet Shoppe Designs launched their Sweet Keepsakes line today. They now  carry lots of different chipboard books from Basic Grey and Maya Road along with that are gorgeous quickpage albums to make hybrid scrapping a breeze. Oh I have to get those sweet rewards points so I could snag me a huge discount to go shopping.

I posted this already but since this is a scrapbook related project, I have to post here too.

I have three birthday guestbooks to do so far and I finished my first one, everything is all printed out and assembled this morning but I finished the layouts last week. I love that I was able to do boy pages and my godson is so cute. Here’s the album…

I’ll upload the slideshow of the photos soon but for now you can view the actual layouts here. I’m so happy with the end result of this one.

I’m picking up the items I reserved at our local scrapbook store last Sunday and one of them is the Maya Road chipboard album above. After I did Iyah’s first birthday guestbook I was so inspired to do more hybrid projects, it is fun to do and easy too. I will finish the guestbook’s cover and start a new themed album. I’m thinking since Iyah loves her boardbooks I might do a personalized one for her. I’m not sure of the theme yet but I’ll go with a 4×4 album so that it will be small enough for her to carry around. Since she’s still a wee one no small embellies which she could take off and nibble will be allowed on any of the pages, gotta keep it safe. This album would be a pretty simple one but colorful so that it could attract her attention.

Other projects I have in mind, a wedding themed mini album. I have tons of printed wedding photos and it would nice to put them in an album and not just any album but an album I made myself. I told you I’m loving the idea of hybrid projects these days. I found lots of inspiration at Two Peas and maybe I could follow some of the ideas there. The site is a great source of inspiration.

Lastly an altered project. I have this tin lunchbox and I plan on altering it and use it as Iyah’s clip box. She has so many clips now and it would be nice to have them all in a nice pretty tin box.
